Waking up at 6:00 am EST, I walked (half asleep) to the living room to watch T.V. On the screen, I see reports of cell phone outage service nationwide. I look at my phone and noticed I have no service. Not a big deal. I was on Wifi and the day should proceed as normal.

15 mins later, my daughter comes running in screaming that cell service is down. Never seen her watch the news intently trying to find out when service will return.

Yes, this is a lighthearted story of the outage but there is also dire consequences. From 911 dispatch, first responders, truckers, and commuters; many industries are affected by the outage and will continue to suffer until this is remedied.
