9. JENNIE (Blackpink)

Jennie’s 2024 tracks You & Me and Mantra present two distinct sides of her musical identity, showcasing her versatility… and we absolutely love BOTH!

“You & Me” offers a smooth, sensual vibe, blending R&B and pop with an introspective tone. Jennie’s vocal delivery is soft yet captivating, exuding both vulnerability and strength. The song explores themes of love and intimacy, with a mellow, almost hypnotic beat that complements her voice. The track is reflective, with a dreamy quality, allowing Jennie to demonstrate emotional depth while maintaining her signature coolness.

“Mantra”, on the other hand, is more energetic and bold, leaning into a hip-hop influenced sound. With an infectious beat and a strong rap section, Jennie commands the track with confidence, expressing themes of empowerment and self-assurance. The song’s upbeat tempo and rhythmic hooks create an anthem-like atmosphere, showcasing Jennie’s ability to blend sharp lyricism with an irresistible groove.

Both songs highlight Jennie’s growth as an artist, with You & Me showcasing her softer, more emotional side and Mantra reinforcing her fierce, unapologetic persona. Together, they offer a well-rounded glimpse into Jennie’s musical evolution in 2024.
